FAQS
-
What is High Five?
While High Five has the elements of dynamic worship and teaching that you’d see in most VBS programs, what makes it unique is being a part of two fun, hands-on electives each day. These electives are age-appropriate and experience-oriented. The purpose of these electives is for each child to be introduced to something new, but not necessarily to master in one hour. Electives are led by individuals from within our faith family.
-
Who can attend High Five 2025?
Registration is open to any child currently in Kindergarten through 5th grade (entering 1st–6th grade in the fall) regardless of where they attend church. Invite your friends, family and neighbors! Registration is limited to the first 230 kids, so be sure to register when it opens.
-
What does registration cost?
Registration for High Five is $49 per child and includes a t-shirt, a snack each day and pizza lunch on Friday.
-
How do I register?
Registration for High Five is a 2-step process which allows you to register 1 child at a time.
- STEP 1: Registration to attend High Five 2025 opens Friday, February 20. Registration closes on Sunday, February 27 or when we reach our capacity of 200 kids. Your child must be registered in step 1 to have access to step 2.
- STEP 2: If you have already registered to attend High Five, the next step is elective ranking. Last year, we introduced a new elective ranking process. In an effort to remove all barriers from the past years of elective registration, we are going to continue to approach High Five 2025 in this way. Your child will have the opportunity to RANK their most favorite to least favorite electives for each day of High Five. The ranking process DOES NOT sign your child up for their electives, nor guarantee that they will get all of their top rankings. All of the data from the elective ranking preferences will be compiled and we will do our best to give kids as many of their top choices as possible in the most fair way possible. For those who are registered to attend High Five, elective ranking will be open from April 10–15.
-
Will my child get to be with their friend during electives with the new ranking process?
You will have the opportunity on the elective ranking form to list 1–2 friends or family members that your child would love to experience electives with. We also encourage friends and/or family members that are hoping to be in the same elective classes to rank their elective opportunities in the same order for each day. This will make no guarantees, but will make it more likely.
-
What are electives?
Electives are meant to be hands-on, introducing the kids to new skills and concepts. The purpose of these electives is for each child to be introduced to something new, but not necessarily master in one hour. Each elective has a maximum capacity and some are limited to specific ages. All electives are subject to change depending on unforeseen circumstances, such as weather or changes by our elective leaders. Watch for the Elective Book to come in late March so you can see what electives are available and create your own schedule.
-
Will lunch be provided?
Please be sure to pack a lunch for Monday–Thursday. We will have a Pizza Party on Friday! Between elective sessions, kids will gather to eat their lunch brought from home.
