UPDATE: I would like to thank everyone for all their prayers for my neck surgery and recovery. I was told the total healing time was 4 months, but I could go back to work after 2 months under heavy restrictions. At my 2-month pre-op appointment, my surgeon was amazed at my X-rays. My neck was completely healed, and I went back to work with no restrictions. Praise the Lord!

Please pray for my sister, Lisa. That everything goes well with her physical exam and for her new job.

Update to my earlier prayer request: my grandpa passed away Wednesday morning. Please pray for my 92 year old grandma as she mourns and adjusts to life without her husband of 75 years. There has been an unfortunate amount of family drama and hurt in the days since his passing, and I’ve felt a lot of that directed at myself. Please pray for my heart and that I could reflect Christ well to my family ahead of next week’s services.

My friend, Steve, has just been diagnosed with colon cancer. It is early days, but he and his family need peace of mind, discernment as to treatment and skilled doctors to lead them through this trial. Please pray for Steve and his family.

UPDATE on my brother-in-law, Josh. He has been moved closer to home for rehab (30 minutes versus previously 2 hours away). He has started physical, occupational and speech therapy to relearn how to speak and to regain the use of his right side. Thank you for all the prayers and please continue to pray as the recovery continues.

Please pray for the Lord’s provision. I’m need of an affordable, reliable used car as my vehicle has died.

I would love prayer for this season of life. I’ve been struggling with loneliness/frustration as I wait and hope for marriage and a family of my own. I spend a lot of time caring for others through my work and in my personal life, but sometimes I feel unseen and tired of carrying so much on my own. I’m asking for prayer that I would trust God’s timing and provision, even when I don’t understand His plan. I’ve also been experiencing a lot of anxiety now affecting different areas of life and health.

Please pray that I have a quick, painless, complication-free recovery from my wisdom tooth extractions, with no swelling. Please pray that my mouth and face heal and that I’m feeling and looking like myself again in time for our family photos on Sunday (8/16).

Please pray for my grandparents. My grandpa is 96 currently and has been in a state of constant pain for several years. He has had more health issues over the last few years, and I learned this week that he’s been put on hospice and told he has just a few weeks left to live. He does know the Lord. Please be praying for my grandma, too. He and my grandma have been married 75 years this year.

Please pray for myself and for my family, that we may be given wisdom in these difficult times. Thank you.

Please pray for Byron Center Bible Church in Byron Center, Michigan. Their building burned down. No one was hurt. The cause was likely a lightening strike during the night, but an investigation is under way. These people are dear to our family. Please pray that this precious body of believers would be united, encouraged and strengthened in their faith as they navigate being the Church without a place to meet.

Please pray for my brother-in-law, Josh. He had a blood clot in his brain removed Wednesday evening (8/5). Multiple CT scans are showing increased swelling of the brain each time. If it continues, they will have to remove part of his skull to relieve the pressure. Scans also show 30% of the left side showing stroke signs. Prayers also for my sister Jennifer and family as she navigates the information and decisions that need to be made.

Please pray for healing for the fracture in my right foot. If it doesn’t heal on its own, I will need surgery. It’s difficult to drive and walk with a boot on. I know God is the great healer.

Over the summer, the ministry of Harvest Bible Chapel Croix-des-Bouquets was significantly reduced because of gang violence in the area surrounding the church. The ongoing conflict has often prevented Pastor Nesly Alexis from safely traveling to serve the congregation. Pray for peace, safety and ministry opportunities in the midst of the ongoing unrest in the region. ⁠Next week, they are hoping to have their Summer High Five for around 100 kids.

Please pray for our adult son. His family has broken apart, and he is very lonely and sad. He doesn’t understand why God has allowed all he went through and all he lost. He is discouraged and has lost trust and faith in the Lord.

Please pray for my husband’s brother, as he has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer and cancer in the lymph nodes. He doesn’t know Jesus, so please pray that God opens his spiritual eyes to the gospel. Please pray that the Lord uses this to save him and his other siblings. My husband is the only believer among his siblings.

I am so discouraged and could use some prayer.

I am a husband and father of two children, and I have been diagnosed with Stage IV clear-cell renal cell carcinoma with metastasis. I am asking for prayer for complete healing, wisdom for my medical team, strength for my family and that God would use this journey to draw us closer to Him and bring glory to His name.

We recently found out that the Lord has blessed us with a third child! I am about 5 or 6 weeks pregnant and experiencing some pretty major nausea, and my usual medication was giving severe side effects. I’m on a new med now, and still experiencing a lot of nausea, minor pain and very little desire to eat. I would appreciate prayer as I walk through the next several weeks of these symptoms. Thank you!

First of all, thank you for the prayers so far in my breast cancer journey. Next, I ask for continued prayers as I am getting ready to start chemo on July 23. Prayers for the Lord’s healing hand in it all and minimal side effects. Also, prayers for my family as we navigate this time.

An answer to prayer and the many prayers you all offered during my period of unemployment – I am starting a new job/career on July 20th. You all were and still are an encouragement!

I am having a right knee replacement today, June 23rd. Please pray for a successful surgery and recovery.

My husband and I are struggling with family relationships. We have recognized that there are some pretty major things that don’t reflect Christ, that are consistently present in family gatherings, and have decided to remove our children from these gatherings for the time being. We are asking for prayer that hearts would be open to hear the gospel and repent, and that we would all grow in faith through this situation. Prayer for wisdom and endurance would also be appreciated! Thank you!

UPDATE: By God’s grace, my mom is home from the hospital. She had a somewhat minor infection that was presenting as a significantly sever, possibly life -threatening concern. We are so thankful for everyone’s prayers. Please keep praying for my Dad as he waits for spinal surgery in a few months, and for my mom and grandparents to acclimate to their new space.

UPDATE: My dad is still waiting to know when he should have surgery to remove the tumor that is inside his spinal cord. My grandma fell last week and was in the hospital. They have released my grandparents to my parents to live with them in Danville for a while before moving to assisted living. But last night, my mom had to be taken to the hospital. She’s not out of the woods yet, but we are praising the Lord as we rule out some of the big things. Pray for clarity, peace and rest in the Lord.

UPDATE: My brother’s meeting went well. He is asking for wisdom and discernment about how to keep their program’s mission and values central while considering possibilities to practice flexibility moving forward.

After a year of diligent work, despite setbacks, my brother is in conversation with a potential host partner for the Christian gap year program he’s trying to launch. They’re meeting the last week of May. Pray for wisdom and provision, and that God’s name would be made great in the crucial as well as the minute details.

Please pray for me. This is one of the most difficult seasons of my life. I’ve been facing serious health concerns involving my right kidney and my colon, and the uncertainty has been overwhelming. I’m waiting to learn what the next steps will be and would appreciate your prayers.

My husband Robert is having surgery on May 20th to remove some screws from previous procedures. Please pray that God will guide the surgeon’s hands during the surgery and that I will have peace while I wait. Also, pray that the surgery will relieve the pain that he’s been experiencing and that infection will stay away.
