Because of the sacrifice of Christ, God’s holy people have hope. Hope of a future salvation. Hope of a glorious inheritance. Hope as we eagerly await the glorious return of Christ. It is this hope that enables us to live holy lives and stand firm in the true grace of God. Peter encourages Christians to stand firm in our faithfulness to Christ, in the midst of suffering, by clinging to the hope of eternity.
