Prayer Wall

Please pray – I found out yesterday that I need to have two surgeries on my neck due to cord compression in three areas (January 29 & February 5). This will be the 6th & 7th surgery I’ve had in the last seven years. Pray also for my husband Steve who will be taking 1.5 weeks off to be with me. He is retiring on March 7. Please pray for peace, calm and low stress.

My nephew, Alex, was admitted into ICU due to years of alcohol abuse. He is only 27 years old. His liver function is critical, he has hepatitis and he is malnourished. Some “crucial numbers” that doctors are monitoring have decreased in a positive direction. This is still life-threatening. His parents are scrambling to help him to the best of their ability with limited resources. Praying for what God can only do, a miraculous intervention! Prayers are appreciated for this young father.

Please pray with me for those impacted by the fires that have consumed many homes and resources in Southern California. We have a family member who is a fire fighter – please pray for his safety. We have friends who might need to evacuate. We have family who have no power. Pray for the believers and churches out there as they serve their neighbors. Pray that even in the midst of such destruction, the Lord would draw people to Himself.

Please pray for my family as tomorrow (January 10) is the 1 year anniversary of my aunt passing from this earth into the presence of Jesus. While there is great hope and comfort in her new reality with Jesus, there is still sadness in her absence. Please pray for the Lord’s special comfort for my uncle, Mike, and his 6 adult sons and daughters-in-law as they remember, process and grieve. And please pray for the rest of my family as we also experience sadness and miss her.

Please pray for my daughter who lives with her mother. She is having suicidal ideations. Also pray for her mother that God would speak through her, to our daughter, to give her hope.

We are going through a season of financial difficulty with a car that is not running, but we are praying to see God as our provider and Everlasting Father during this trial.

Please pray for my marriage. My husband and I have lost our strong connection in these crazy years of raising small children. We want to be connected again and share deeply with each other. Our two beautiful children should see two parents who love and support each other. Please pray we can find our way back. Please pray we have patience. Please pray for our hearts to be open to this change.

Update on my Dad: We are praising the Lord for his gracious answers to prayer. My dad, Ron, is coming home to Indiana tomorrow with a defibrillator that was implanted on Thursday. Thank you for your prayers and support!

Please pray for my dad, Ron. We are all in Florida for Christmas and he went into cardiac arrest in our Airbnb. After 24 hours of being sedated, he’s awake, praise the Lord! He’s still currently on the ventilator and getting some more tests done. Pray for more progress and peace for our family as we navigate these days away from home.

Radiant family, please pray for healing for Lisa Dykstra who is experiencing pain from a gallstone.

I’m dealing with a lot of depression. I don’t want to do anything.

Please pray for my mother, Mary, who had a positive result on home colon cancer screening. She has a colonoscopy on Tuesday (12/17/24). Please pray for God’s healing power. Please pray for God’s healing and miracles for her. Thank you!

Update on my brother-in-law, Jim: He will be getting a pet scan on Monday, an MRI on Tuesday, and then he will see the doctor on Thursday about his Malt lymphoma. Please pray for him and my sister through this. She is blind and he is her caretaker. She is having panic attacks because of this.

Updated on Nancy Vilsaint: Nancy was released from the hospital on Friday and is now home. Please continue to pray for her to recover fully and regain strength and energy. Thank you!

Please pray for my health, cancer treatment, and recovery.

Nancy Vilsaint was readmitted to the hospital this evening with complications after giving birth to baby Thea last Tuesday. Thea is doing fine. Nancy is beginning to improve and hopes to be released tomorrow. Please also pray for Alix and his work obligations as well as their 3 boys at home.

My stepson, Bob, had a TIA last week and was taken to the ER. He will have a stress test in January. I’m not sure what else he will be having done. Please pray.

Please pray for Pastor Nesly and his family. Nesly has been unable to worship with his faith family for three weeks due to ongoing and increasing violence in the region. Pray for peace in Haiti and Harvest Croix-des-Bouquets as they seek to continue advancing the gospel during such a difficult time.

Please pray for Harvest Georgetown as they gather for their Christmas dinner on Saturday. Pray that preparations go well. Pray for joy and good fellowship as they gather together as a faith family.

Please pray for my niece. She is a freshman in high school and is struggling with her identity. Please pray that she can again find her identity through Christ alone and be reminded she is perfectly created by HIM.

I just found out today that my brother-in-law, Jim, has MALT Lymphoma. It’s a cancer of the lymphatic system. He is a caretaker for my sister, Susie, who is blind. They don’t know anything else right now, but please pray for them.

Praise the Lord that He walks with us through our suffering and heals broken hearts. My aunt passed away from cancer almost a year ago and the Lord has walked and continues to walk with our family through this loss. She’s with Jesus now which is another reason to praise Him – He promises us eternal life with Him forever!

Praise the Lord for the opportunity this past week to spend some good time with our extended family.

Please pray for strength as I go through the holidays. It’s going to be very difficult this year because I lost someone in my family that meant a lot to me. 
I also have a praise! The Lord has done some amazing things for me in the past few months. I am almost two months without medical health complications and also, thank the Lord that I have found my forever home with my foster family. Praise the Lord!

PRAISE: My sister, Peggy, had a successful hip replacement on Monday morning and was already taking steps just 4 hours after her surgery. She will be recuperating with our cousin in Illinois for the next several weeks. Jonnie and I, as well as Peggy, thank you for your prayers! Please continue to pray for Peggy’s full recovery and healing. You all are loved.

Please pray for the high school retreat this weekend (11/15–17) and the middle school retreat next weekend (11/22–24). We’re going to be exploring the topic of prayer, so please pray that the Lord uses this time to do a work in our students’ lives for their good and His glory.

My sister, Peggy, is having much needed hip replacement surgery this coming Monday (11/18/24) early in the morning. Jonnie and I request prayers for God’s guidance over the surgery and recovery.

Please pray for a close friend of our son, who tragically lost a good friend and his good friend’s sister in an accident today. Those lost were also known by our son and family as well. We are all saddened by this loss of people so young. Please pray for all families involved and wisdom for our son as he navigates this tragedy. He desires to comfort his friends but he is also grieving.

Please pray for our son Philip, who is going in for a back surgery this morning (11/14/24) at Franciscan hospital in Greenwood to repair a bulging disc. Please pray for peace for his wife, Jill, and their two children, as well as success for the medical professionals. Thank you very much!

Update on my niece, Libby. Since the accident, she’s had a lot of back pain and is on crutches. She has only been able to go to school for one period a day if she goes at all. The chiropractor said she needed an MRI to see if she’s got a hairline fracture in a disc in her back or her hip. She has an appointment scheduled, but please pray for her.
