Summertime is here! And with it comes a welcome shift in rhythm: kids are out of school, small groups pause, vacations happen and evenings move to the ballfields. Rest, play and slower days are good gifts from the Lord, and we hope you soak them up. Being on mission for Jesus continues through every season, even the relaxed and sun-filled ones. Sometimes it’s the unhurried summer moments, conversations around a neighbor’s pool or a backyard barbecue, that open doors in ways the busyness of regular life never could.
This summer, we want to call our faith family to a Summer for Good. Instead of treating summer as “time off” from the regular 10-month calendar, we want to see it as a season rich with unique opportunities for discipleship and ministry. This isn’t about adding more to your plate; it’s about being intentional with where summer already takes you.
Opportunities to make Summer for Good
Personal
Prayer
We believe firmly in the power of prayer. No matter where you’re at this summer, you can always pray. How amazing that we can meet with God personally and walk well with Him through prayer! Throughout the summer, we will share different ways you can be praying. We encourage you to spend time in prayer with the Lord daily.
Relational
Faith Family
We value relationships here at Radiant and summer gives us great opportunities to grow them. Summer Home Hangouts are a wonderful way to connect, but beyond those, we encourage you to be intentional, whether that’s having a family over or meeting at a park. Let’s keep growing together within our faith family.
Missional
Community
There are unique opportunities that we have every single day to live for His glory and for the spread of the gospel, and that includes the summer as well. We encourage you to be missional where your feet are, whether that is at the baseball field, the grocery store, or at the restaurant on vacation. Let’s be purposeful with how we treat others and shine the light of Jesus wherever we go.
